Motor Speech Therapy
Restoring clear speech after stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurological change.
A stroke, traumatic brain injury, or progressive neurological condition can change how speech sounds: slurred, weak, effortful, or hard to coordinate. Dysarthria affects the strength and control of the muscles used for speech. Apraxia of speech affects the planning of speech movements. We assess which is at play and target it with structured, evidence-based practice.
Goals are practical: being understood on the phone, at work, and around the dinner table. Therapy builds the clarity, pacing, and breath support that everyday conversation depends on.
